BETHLEHEM, Pa. — A Neighbors in Need community event will take place Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. to raise money for the 135 residents and four local businesses displaced by a fire at Five10Flats on May 2.

The event, hosted at Country Club Brewing at 323 Pierce St. in Bethlehem, aims to raise funds for emergency relief, housing assistance and essential needs.

Local restaurant vendors will serve food for attendees, and small businesses will offer handmade goods for sale. The event is family-friendly, with crafts and activities for children planned throughout the evening.

The fire appeared to have been caused by a cigarette discarded in a rooftop planter and took six hours for first responders to extinguish. Residents have been provided temporary stays at local hotels while the building undergoes repairs.

“This is a chance for our community to rally together with love, support and hope,” said event organizers in an Instagram post promoting the event. “Every action — big or small — is helping our neighbors recover and rebuild.”

Proceeds from the event will go directly to those affected by the fire. Organizers expressed gratitude to those who have already donated, volunteered or reached out to offer support.

Donations and volunteer opportunities remain open for those unable to attend.
