BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Two of the Lehigh Valley’s largest organizations in arts and sports are joining forces to celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary in 2026.
ArtsQuest and the Lehigh Valley IronPigs announced Wednesday they will collaborate throughout next year on events, programs and merchandise marking the milestone. The partnership includes the debut of a specially designed 250th anniversary logo created with local artist Doug Boehm. Regional organizations are invited to use the logo to unify community celebrations.
The IronPigs will roll out limited-edition jerseys and caps on special game nights, beginning with “Festers Night” on July 29. The event will mark the 10th anniversary of the team’s Musikfest partnership, this year featuring a 250th anniversary edition jersey and cap. A second commemorative design will be featured on six additional game nights during the season.
Celebrations will go beyond Coca-Cola Park and ArtsQuest’s SteelStacks campus. ArtsQuest programming will include anniversary-themed concerts and gatherings, along with FIFA World Cup watch parties at SteelStacks. The IronPigs will host patriotic events such as a drone and fireworks show July 3 and a community celebration with fireworks July 4.

“This is about more than baseball or arts and entertainment; it’s about bringing people together to make memories and celebrate our nation’s 250th anniversary,” said Kurt Landes, president and general manager of the IronPigs and a member of the Lehigh Valley 250th committee.

ArtsQuest President and CEO Kassie Hilgert said the partnership highlights more than a decade of collaboration between the organizations.
“Through the event calendars of the IronPigs, ArtsQuest and many other local organizations next year, the nation’s 250th anniversary celebrations go on all year long,” Hilgert said. “We are proud to join forces with the IronPigs to announce a regional logo and invite other organizations to be part of this shared experience and economic impact throughout 2026.”
