BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Students from the Bethlehem Area School District unveiled a collaborative art installation Saturday at Musikfest, celebrating months of work and cross-school connection.

The Living Wall was revealed at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at the ArtsQuest Center. The large-scale piece was the result of a PCA artist residency led by rostered artist Mallory Zondag, who worked with middle schoolers from Broughal, East Hills, Northeast, and Nitschmann from January through March.

Students from studio art classes at each school contributed individual works that were integrated into one unified piece. The collaborative process, organizers said, fostered a sense of shared identity and creativity across the district.

“Students from the studio art classes collaborated to integrate individual pieces into a larger piece, fostering a sense of community and connection among all four schools,” the district said in a statement.

The project was inspired by Zondag’s 2025 Musikfest poster, which explores similar themes. The Living Wall will remain on display throughout the festival.
