Blueberry Festival returns to Bethlehem July 19-20

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The 38th annual Blueberry Festival will return to Burnside Plantation July 19-20, 2025, featuring new attractions and expanded family activities, Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites announced.

The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both days and includes live music, colonial cooking demonstrations, candle-making, blueberry pie-eating contests, and colonial games.

Children can participate in the History Quest Scavenger Hunt, an “Artifact Challenge” matching game featuring 18th-century objects, pony rides, and a visit to a petting zoo.

New this year is a display of 18th and 19th-century farming equipment in the Johnson Barn. Families can tour the Burnside home and gardens, where volunteers will showcase current crops.

The Story Doctor will present interactive book presentations on the Community Stage at 11:30 a.m. on both days.

Food vendors include Taste Budz, offering blueberry grilled cheese; Taco Town; DonutNV; Thirst Trap Lemonade; and Rolling Brew coffee.

Artisans include returning vendors Soaps on Linden, Rebel Hive Meadery, and Moravian Star Maker Cheryl Baker, as well as newcomers Deep Roots Hard Cider, Mod Metal Works, and BG Silversmiths.

The Market to Go features the largest selection of blueberry desserts in the festival’s history, including pies, coffee cake, strudel, sugar cookies, and ice cream.

New offerings include crullers and gluten-free blueberry lemon mini-cakes. Desserts can be preordered online and picked up Friday, July 18, from 3-7 p.m. or during festival hours.

The Great Bethlehem Blueberry Baking Contest is open to children and adults, with judging by culinary professionals.

Winners receive prizes from King Arthur Flour. Kids’ Division winners will be announced on July 19 at 2:30 p.m., and Adult Division winners on July 20 at 2:30 p.m.

The Tavern Tent offers beer and spirits from Banko Beverage and local breweries. Tickets are $25 and include admission to the festival.

Advance tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for ages 17 and under. Gate prices are $12 for adults and $6 for ages 17 and under. Children 3 and under are free. Tickets are available online here or by calling 610-691-6055.

Proceeds support Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites, which maintains 20 historic buildings, including the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts and the Moravian Museum of Bethlehem in the 1741 Gemeinhaus.
