ALLENTOWN, Pa. — The Boutique for Hope, formerly known as the Boutique at the Rink, will host its 49th annual sale June 11–14 at a new location designed to provide better comfort for shoppers and volunteers.

The event, previously held at the Bethlehem Municipal Ice Rink, will take place at St. Luke’s SportsPlex, 4636 Crackersport Road in Allentown. The change marks a significant shift for the long-running cancer fundraiser, which has raised more than $2.5 million since its inception in 1974.

The fundraiser brought in more than $350,000 in 2024, supporting three local organizations that serve cancer patients and their families in the Lehigh Valley: the Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley, St. Luke’s Cancer Center and St. Luke’s Hospice.

The Cancer Support Community provides free support services to people with cancer and their loved ones. St. Luke’s Cancer Center offers comprehensive treatment services, while St. Luke’s Hospice provides end-of-life care and support.

The sale schedule includes:

  • Premiere night: 3 to 8 p.m. June 11 ($20 entry)
  • Full-price day: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. June 12
  • Half-price day: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. June 13
  • Bag sale day: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 14

The new venue—a popular pickleball destination—offers a 75,000-square-foot, air-conditioned indoor space with ample room for the sale of new and gently used clothing, household goods, antiques, collectibles, vintage items, toys, games, sporting equipment and boutique merchandise.

The Boutique for Hope was started by a group of Bethlehem Steel company wives and now relies on more than 400 community volunteers who organize and run the annual spring event.

Volunteers are still needed. Those interested in helping can find more information on the event website.

The venue change comes as the event continues to grow in both scope and fundraising capability, with organizers noting how the improved facilities will enhance the experience for both shoppers and the hundreds of volunteers who make the sale possible each year.
