EASTON, Pa. — Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B will make an appearance at Spin Me Round Records in the Palmer Park Mall on Saturday, Sept. 20, at 2 p.m. to celebrate the release of her second studio album “Am I the Drama?”
The in-store photo event coincides with the album’s release on Friday, Sept. 19 — Cardi B’s first studio album since her 2018 Grammy-winning debut “Invasion of Privacy.”
The Easton appearance is part of a six-city promotional tour running from Friday, Sept. 19, through Thursday, Sept. 25.
Other stops include Long Island, N.Y.; New York City; Atlanta, Ga.; Houston, Texas; and Long Beach, Calif., according to the official event website at instores.cardib.com.
In a video posted to X on Tuesday night, Cardi playfully announced the tour dates, saying, “I have to go on the road and sell these CDs and vinyls myself” due to what she jokingly described as a reduced album budget of $50.
Fans must pre-order the CD for $14.98 through Spin Me Round’s website to participate in the event. Attendees will have their photos taken with the artist by a professional photographer and receive a private link to download their pictures afterward.
“This is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of thing — space is limited,” according to the store’s Instagram announcement.
The Bronx-born rapper, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, rose to fame through social media before launching her music career. She became the first female rapper to have multiple songs reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The seven-year gap between albums has been attributed to several factors, including what Cardi B described as “bad separation anxiety” from her three children and perfectionism in her creative process.
Following the album release, Cardi B has confirmed plans for her first full-scale arena tour, which would mark a departure from her previous performances that consisted mainly of festivals and smaller venues.
The Palmer Park Mall event requires advance purchase of the CD from Spin Me Round’s website, with confirmation needed for entry.
Purchasing the CD from another retailer will not grant access to the in-store appearance.
