Elderly woman struck by vehicle on Linden Street in Bethlehem
BETHLEHEM, Pa. — A woman was struck by a car around 8:55 p.m. Friday on the 3000 block of Linden Street in front of the Taylor Court shopping center.
The victim, described as an older woman, sustained what appeared to be a broken leg and serious rib injuries, according to Cherry S., who witnessed the incident. Her shoes reportedly came off from the impact.
Cherry S., bringing her son and his friend home from a school dance after stopping at Burger King, called in the incident and pulled over to speak with police.
The woman remained conscious and spoke Spanish as City of Bethlehem police and paramedics treated her. City of Bethlehem emergency responders quickly transported her from the scene by ambulance.
The woman appeared to be coming from the Walgreens grocery store across the street when the accident occurred. Her shopping items were scattered across the road.

A dark blue Subaru was pulled over to the side of the road. The vehicle sustained significant crush damage to the hood, and some paint was scraped away. The driver appeared to be speaking with police.
