EMMAUS, Pa. — A fundraiser is underway for a family that lost their home in a fire that destroyed two residences early Saturday in Emmaus.

Witnesses said the blaze began on the porch of a home in the 200 block of Ridge Street and quickly spread to the adjoining side of the duplex.

Amber Williams, who lived in the neighboring home with her 72-year-old mother, 5-year-old daughter, 18-year-old daughter, 19-year-old son, spouse and dog, said her family lost nearly all their possessions.

“We unfortunately lost everything in this fire,” Williams wrote. “Years of memories and treasures are gone; however, we still have one another. I am asking for anyone’s help at this point with anything you are capable of.”

No injuries were reported, but the Emmaus fire inspector said both residences were left uninhabitable because of extensive damage.
