MACUNGIE, Pa. — Lumber Street is host to the local Farmers Market for the summer as part of its 2025 season and will operate free of charge for anyone to attend from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursdays.

The Farmers Market, located at Macungie Memorial Park, 99 Lumber Street, Macungie, PA 18062, opened on May 15 and will close on October 30.

Various local farms provide crops and other goods, such as cake pops by first-year Macungie vendor Momma’s Pop Shop, according to the Macungie Farmers Market Facebook account.

Produce is also provided by Jus Kidden Around Farm and Bleiler’s Produce Patch all season.

Farmer Terry Bleiler, owner of Bleiler Produce Patch, known simply as the Patch, discussed how long he’s been at the farmers market and what his favorite part of the market is.

“Close as 19 or 20 years now,” Bleiler said. “Interacting with customers. That’s my main favorite part of it…Educating each customer…if they have any questions or anything else… I usually respond on an answer for them.”

The Macungie Farmers Market also has a new stand, Zae’s Creations, which specializes in scented candles and plarn bags made from plastic bags.

Vendor Zaela Escoto commented on her experience as part of the Farmers Market and what she is looking forward to the most..

“This is my first year here at the Farmers Market… I’ve been doing bags for over 20 years,” Escoto said. “I’m looking…for the Farmers Market to grow…for more venders to come in and grow so people can actually use the Farmers Market how it’s supposed to be used.”

Live entertainment by acoustic guitarist Nick Franclik has been featured since May and will extend throughout the rest of the season.

Food Truck “You Got Pork’d” was featured as an exclusive event, and the Farmers Market will feature a different food truck every few weeks.

Local Out of Our Minds Art Studio will have a booth at the Farmers Market on July 19, featuring crafts for younger customers.
