WHITEHALL TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corp. unveiled a 6-foot-by-7-foot “Made in Lehigh Valley” sculpture Wednesday at the center of the Lehigh Valley Mall, and it wants more like it across the region.
The sculpture, inspired by Philadelphia’s LOVE sculpture, is meant to be a photo spot, the agency said. It turns the “Made in Lehigh Valley” slogan, which LVEDC put on digital billboards along Route 22 and Interstate 78 last fall, into a place people can stand next to.
The agency did not say what the sculpture cost, who paid for it or how long it will stay at the mall.
“It is our hope to extend the ‘Made in Lehigh Valley’ sculptures to outdoor spaces in iconic spots and downtowns across the Lehigh Valley, much like Cleveland has done with its signature logo,” LVEDC President and CEO Don Cunningham said. “We are in discussions now on how to make that happen.”
Cunningham did not name any places.
Representatives of Crayola, C.F. Martin & Co. and Freshpet spoke at the unveiling, and mascots Denim from Crayola and FeRROUS from the IronPigs posed for photos.

“A company only lasts that long if they’re in the right place,” said Scott Gervais, chief operating officer of Martin, which has been in Nazareth since 1839. “People want to live here, and that’s why companies like ours compete and remain here.”
Inaflash Sign & Design of Emmaus built the sculpture.
The campaign ties the region’s name to products made here, LVEDC has said. Its billboards, which began Nov. 3, 2025, with Crayola, were planned to run for a year.
The agency says the Lehigh Valley’s more than 700 manufacturers produce $9 billion in output, or 16% of the region’s gross domestic product, compared with 11% nationally.
