Pennsylvania experiences statewide 911 outage; local numbers available

PENNSYLVANIA — Pennsylvania is experiencing a statewide intermittent 911 outage, according to the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency.

Residents having trouble reaching 911 are advised to contact their local 911 centers using non-emergency phone lines.

The agency is directing people to check their county’s social media accounts and websites for additional information.

For Lehigh Valley residents, the following non-emergency numbers are available:

  • Lehigh County: 610-437-5252
  • Bethlehem: 610-865-7171
  • Northampton County: 215-357-8700
  • Easton/Wilson/Palmer: 610-759-2200
  • Macungie: 610-966-2222
  • Catasauqua/South Whitehall: 610-437-5252

The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency has not provided details on the cause of the outage or an estimated time for restoration of services.
