Allentown principal cited by police after park incident, damaging patrol car
ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Stephanie Williams, 39, former principal of Harrison-Morton Middle School, has been cited by police after disrupting a neighborhood event at Bucky Boyle Park earlier this month.
Allentown police responded to the park around 5 p.m. Sept. 13 for reports of a disturbance, according to the department. Officers were told that Williams of Allentown was harassing attendees, yelling at children and acting erratically.
Police said Williams was asked multiple times to leave, but became confrontational as officers escorted her and her child to the parking lot. She was taken into custody after refusing officers’ commands.
While seated in a marked patrol vehicle, Williams allegedly kicked out the rear window, police said. She was later evaluated at a local hospital after continuing to display concerning behavior at headquarters.
Following a review of body camera footage and online videos, and after consultation with the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office, police filed two summary citations against Williams for disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.

The Harrison-Morton school website still displays a blank page for the principal.
Video clips appear to show Williams approaching students, making faces, laughing and rolling on the ground. In the video, students can be heard attempting to return her phone and glasses, while Williams makes disjointed remarks such as, “They’re about to go viral.”
Williams could not be reached for comment.
“As of this week, and while the matter remains under review, Ms. Williams is currently utilizing her accrued paid time off,” Allentown School District communications manager Melissa Reese said. “The matter is being handled directly by law enforcement. As this is a confidential personnel matter, and out of respect for the ongoing legal process, the district is unable to share additional details at this time. Our focus remains on supporting the students, staff and families of Harrison-Morton Middle School and ensuring a strong, safe and successful school year.”
The district has named Arcelius Brickhouse acting principal until further notice.
