Multi-vehicle crash on I-78 eastbound between Exit 55: PA 29 – CEDAR CREST BOULEVARD and Exit 59: TO PA 145 – SUMMIT LAWN. All lanes are closed.

Alternate routes are suggested as traffic is currently at a near standstill, and movement is expected to be halted for the time being.

The overflow of traffic also affects Route 22 as people attempt other routes to navigate the scene, so you may want to avoid travel on any of these roads.

According to Facebook comments of those currently waiting in the traffic, the police are funneling people to Cedar Crest.

This is a developing story.
