Police renew search for answers in 2007 murder of Allentown mother

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — The Allentown Police Department is renewing its call for public assistance in the unsolved 2007 murder of Amber Holly Eldridge, a 27-year-old mother of three whose killing has remained unsolved for nearly two decades.

Eldridge was found shot multiple times under the pavilion at Canal Park on April 15th, 2007, around 5:27 pm. The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office ruled her death a homicide.

According to police, Eldridge had been seen at various locations throughout Allentown the day before her body was discovered. She was known to reside at 734 West Turner Street in Allentown at the time of her death.

The case remains active with the department’s Cold Case Homicide Team, which was formed in 2015 within the Criminal Investigations Division to review older unsolved homicides and reevaluate suspicious missing person cases and death investigations.

Police are asking anyone with information about Eldridge’s murder to contact the Cold Case Homicide Team at 610-437-7721. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Tip 411 by texting “TIPAPD” to 847411.
