BETHLEHEM, PA — A new QDOBA Mexican Eats restaurant has opened at 2417 Schoenersville Road in Bethlehem’s Westgate Mall.
The grand opening, organized in collaboration with the Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony, giveaways, and a spin-the-wheel game for prizes.
Eager customers arrived early to win free burritos or bowls for a year.
In addition, as part of its opening week celebration, QDOBA is offering $4.99 burritos from 4 to 6 PM daily through September 9th.
This is only the second QDOBA to open its doors in our area, with the first located off MacArthur Road in Whitehall, PA.
In contrast, there are seven Chipotle locations throughout the Lehigh Valley.
Founded in 1995 as Zuma Fresh Mexican Grill in Denver, Colorado, by Anthony Miller and Robert Hauser, the company went through a couple of name changes—becoming Z-Teca Mexican Grill from 1997 to 1999 and Qdoba Mexican Grill from 1999 to 2015—before settling on its current name, QDOBA Mexican Eats.
Known for its customizable menu, QDOBA allows diners to build their meals with various proteins, toppings, and sauces.
Popular items include burritos, bowls, tacos, and quesadillas, with fan-favorite ingredients like flame-grilled chicken, slow-braised brisket, and hand-crafted guacamole.
The chain has long been a favorite among Mexican-American food enthusiasts.
Many fans cite its wider variety of toppings and free add-ons like queso and guacamole as reasons for their loyalty to it over its main competitor, Chipotle.
QDOBA’s arrival is part of the mall’s ongoing transformation, contributing to its growing selection of dining options and boosting Bethlehem’s local food scene.
