ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Banana Ball returns to Jefferson Park, the IronPigs’ ballpark, May 7-8, 2027, when the Firefighters play the Indianapolis Clowns, and fans can enter the ticket lottery through Oct. 31.

It will be the third straight year the traveling show has stopped in Allentown, and the first time in spring. The two games are the earliest of the tour’s four 2027 stops in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, months before it reaches Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on Aug. 27-28, according to the tour’s online schedule.

Individual tickets are sold only through the lottery on the Banana Ball ticket page, which closes at 11:59 p.m. Oct. 31. Joining does not guarantee a chance to buy. A random drawing before the event will select who gets to purchase, and the IronPigs said in a release Thursday that they will contact those drawn directly.

Standard tickets start at $35. Meet-and-greet tickets start at $125, up from $100 for the 2026 games, according to the team’s releases for the two seasons. The team said tickets sold outside the official lottery “are likely fraudulent.” Groups interested in hospitality areas can call the IronPigs ticket office at 610-841-PIGS (7447).

Both games start at 7 p.m. The stadium at 1050 IronPigs Way will be called Jefferson Park in 2027 under a naming-rights deal with Jefferson, announced in September.

The tour’s other stops in the two states are PNC Park in Pittsburgh on Aug. 6-7 and ShoreTown Ballpark on the Jersey Shore on Aug. 13-14. The Savannah Bananas organization revealed the 2027 schedule Thursday in a City Selection Show on ESPN2 and said on X that the show will go international for the first time, with two preseason games in Mexico. The schedule also lists stops in Canada.

Allentown’s first Banana Ball games were July 5-6, 2025, with the Party Animals and Texas Tailgaters. Last October, the team announced that the Firefighters and Party Animals would play there Aug. 7-8, 2026.

The Firefighters are one of six teams in the Banana Ball Championship League, alongside the Savannah Bananas, Party Animals, Texas Tailgaters, Loco Beach Coconuts and Indianapolis Clowns. The Clowns pay tribute to the original Indianapolis Clowns, which the release calls “the greatest barnstorming baseball team for over 50 years.” The release says the Bananas work with the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum to preserve the original team’s history.

Banana Ball, which began in 2021, plays by 11 rules of its own. One rule is that a fan catching a foul ball counts as an out.
