ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Sports & Social Allentown will host watch parties for the 76ers’ first three games, starting Tuesday when LeBron James makes his regular-season Sixers debut against the New York Knicks.
The team’s opening-week fan events are all in Philadelphia, and none of the bars on its 76ers Bar Network page are in the Lehigh Valley. Closer to home, the downtown Allentown bar and two restaurant chains are marking the start of the season.
Sports & Social, at 645 Hamilton St., lists game watches for Tuesday’s 7 p.m. opener at Madison Square Garden, Thursday’s 7 p.m. home opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers and Saturday’s 7:30 p.m. home game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Tables can be reserved through OpenTable.
“We’re showing every Sixers game all season long. Walk-ins are always welcome, but reservations guarantee your spot,” the bar said in a social media post last week.
Chick-fil-A in Trexlertown will give a limited-edition 76ers bobblehead to customers who wear Sixers gear and place an order inside the restaurant Thursday, starting at 4 p.m., the restaurant said on Facebook. The giveaway runs at participating Greater Philadelphia Chick-fil-A restaurants, one per person while supplies last, and not at the drive-thru, curbside or delivery.
Copperhead Grille’s Airport Road location is giving away tickets to the Sixers’ Nov. 21 game against the Bucks, the restaurant said on Instagram. A purchase of $25 or more earns an entry through Oct. 26, and a purchase on an Eagles game day counts twice.
Tuesday’s game airs on NBC and Peacock, Thursday’s on ESPN and Saturday’s on NBC Sports Philadelphia and NBA TV, according to the team’s schedule. All three games are on 97.5 The Fanatic.

The Sixers will hold a free Season Tip-Off Fan Fest for Tuesday’s game at Stateside Live!, 1100 Pattison Ave., with doors at 6 p.m., the team said. Fans are asked to RSVP on the team’s website, but entry is first-come, first-served and an RSVP does not guarantee a spot. Fans under 21 must come with an adult 25 or older.
The fan fest will have live broadcasts from 97.5 The Fanatic, giveaways and T-shirts painted on site by street artist Nero while supplies last, according to the team.
On Wednesday, the team will hide a free pair of tickets to the home opener somewhere in the city and post clues to the spot on its social media accounts. Every fan at Thursday’s game at Xfinity Mobile Arena gets a giveaway T-shirt, the team said.
James signed with the Sixers in July. The Knicks will raise their championship banner before Tuesday’s game.
