The outage reaches every Giant in the Lehigh Valley. Giant's store locator, which still loads, lists 15 stores in Lehigh and Northampton counties: two in Allentown, three in Bethlehem, two in Easton and one each in Coopersburg, Coplay, Hellertown, Nazareth, Trexlertown, Walnutport, Whitehall and Wind Gap. The stores themselves are open.
The closing ends the Colvers' four years carrying on a store that has sold lumber, hardware and kitchen and bath design in the Easton area for generations. The Colvers took over in 2022, according to the store's website, which said they knew the importance of keeping the store open; their Monday post gave no reason for the closure.
The open-air center opened in October 2006. A trade report that August named 15 of its opening shops and services. Nine are still in the center's directory, including Barnes & Noble, L.L.Bean and Yankee Candle.
