BETHLEHEM, Pa. — A new coffee spot in Bethlehem is inviting the community to celebrate its official grand opening Tuesday, Oct. 1.

Paradise Kafe, at 552 N. New St., was started by Mohamed Abdelaziz and Wajahat Siddique, former students at Parkland High School. After a Sept. 16 soft launch, the pair are ready to officially welcome guests to their nature-inspired space.

The cafe is designed to be a calm retreat in the city, with greenery draped from the ceiling, flower-covered walls and a mix of lounge seating and tables. Local artwork, soft music and free Wi-Fi round out the atmosphere.

Paradise Kafe’s menu blends international flavors with cafe staples. Guests can sip Arabic coffee brewed tableside in hot sand, or try matcha specialties such as mango, strawberry or pistachio-chocolate. Classic espresso drinks, fruit refreshers and karak tea are also available.

The cafe serves baked goods including baklava, muffins and cookies, as well as crepes and croissants. Signature options include the “Nutella Paradise” with bananas, strawberries and chocolate drizzle, and the “Pistachio Dream,” filled with pistachio paste and syrup.

Abdelaziz and Siddique said the goal of Paradise Kafe is simple: to offer a welcoming space where people can “sip, relax and enjoy the garden.”

Beginning Oct. 1, Paradise Kafe will expand its hours to open earlier in the day, running 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. or 5 p.m. daily.
