PeepsFest returning to Bethlehem to ring in the New Year
BETHLEHEM, Pa. — A Lehigh Valley tradition is returning to ring in the New Year. ArtsQuest and Just Born Quality Confections announced that PeepsFest will be back at the ArtsQuest campus at SteelStacks in Bethlehem on Dec. 30 and 31, offering two days of family-friendly activities from 3 to 6 p.m. each day.
Each evening will conclude with the festival’s signature highlight — the Peeps Chick Drop at 5:35 p.m., when a glittering 400-pound Peeps chick descends to count down to the New Year. A fireworks show will follow, lighting up Bethlehem.
Recognized nationally as one of the top New Year’s Eve “drops” in the country, PeepsFest continues to be a popular Lehigh Valley tradition for families.
Tickets are $5 per person, with free admission for children ages 1 and under. Entry begins at 2:45 p.m., and attendees must present proof of admission. Organizers recommend purchasing tickets early at artsquest.org/peepsfest, as the event often sells out.
This year’s celebration will feature live music, games and creative activities both indoors and outdoors. Families can enjoy craft stations, friendship bracelet-making at the PBS39 Experience and cooking demos with Chef Julie of Levy Restaurants in The Kitchen. Educational and interactive exhibits from the Da Vinci Science Center and Wildlands Conservancy will offer science- and nature-themed fun.
