Spooktacular Hot Air Balloon Festival returns to Slatington
SLATINGTON, Pa. — The Lehigh Valley’s Spooktacular Hot Air Balloon Festival will return to Slatington Airport Sept. 5–7, offering a weekend of colorful balloon launches, live entertainment and family-friendly activities.
Each day, more than 20 hot air balloons are scheduled to take off at 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., filling the sky with vibrant colors over the Lehigh River. Visitors can enjoy the views from the ground or take rides for a closer look.
The festival’s After Dark events on Friday and Saturday feature glowing balloons lit by lasers, live DJs and fireworks. Sunday is designated as Family Fun Day, with a more relaxed atmosphere and daytime balloon launches for children and families.
Tickets are available for single-day admission, with parking purchased separately. General adult admission is $28 online. Child and senior discounted prices are available. Tickets purchased at the gate will cost more. VIP tickets offer separate viewing areas. The festival takes place at 1000 Airport Lane, Slatington.
