The Great Allentown Fair returns for 173rd year
ALLENTOWN, PA – The Great Allentown Fair, a tradition in the Lehigh Valley, is set to return from Aug. 27 to Sep. 1, 2025, at the Allentown Fairgrounds. This year will mark 173 years of the fair.
Established in 1852 by the Lehigh County Agricultural Society, the fair has grown from its agricultural roots into a multifaceted event featuring carnival rides, games, live music and a variety of food vendors.
2025 Grandstand Lineup
This year’s fair will include the following lineup of musical acts.
- Wednesday, Aug. 27: Heart
- Thursday, Aug. 28: Alabama
- Friday, Aug. 29: Kane Brown
- Saturday, Aug. 30: Ace Frehley, Great White and Quiet Riot
- Sunday, Aug. 31: Gabriel Iglesias

The fair offers several themed days with special promotions:
- Opening Night (Wednesday, Aug. 27): Adult admission is $5 or $3 with a canned food donation for the Second Harvest Food Bank.
- Thursday, Aug. 28: Red, White and Thank You Military Day will offer free admission for all active military and veterans with ID.
- Friday, August 29: Free admission from 12 PM – 2 PM; $10 after 2 PM.
- Saturday, August 30: Service Electric Saturday – $10 adult admission.
- Sunday, August 31: Fairgrounds Farmers Market and Ritz Barbecue Day.
- Monday, September 1: Senior Day – Free admission for seniors 65+ with ID.
Community engagement
Visitors can explore agricultural exhibits highlighting the achievements of local farmers, gardeners and homemakers.
The fairgrounds are at 302 N. 17th St., Allentown. Parking is $10 per vehicle, with prepaid premium parking available for $30. Regular admission is $10 for adults; children 12 and under are free.
