62-year-old Salisbury Township man identified in fatal LANTA bus collision

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — A 62-year-old Salisbury Township man died Monday morning following a collision between his vehicle and a LANTA bus, according to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office.

Emad Kasseri was operating a motor vehicle when the crash occurred at approximately 7:50 a.m. in the area of West Tilghman Street and North Ott Street in Allentown.

The circumstances that led to the collision have not been released, and it was not immediately known if anyone aboard the bus was injured.

Kasseri was pronounced dead at 8:41 a.m. in the Emergency Department at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest.

The cause of death was determined to be multiple blunt force injuries, and the manner of death was ruled an accident, according to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio.

Officials determined that no autopsy was needed in the case.

The Coroner’s Office, Allentown Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit, and the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office are investigating the incident.
