EMMAUS, Pa. — The Emmaus Farewell to Summer Festival returns Saturday, Sept. 19, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Triangle Park and the surrounding downtown, and will spread this year into the borough-owned Wells Fargo parking lot, the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce said.
The free festival is run by the Emmaus Main Street Partners, a partner organization of the chamber. The chamber said the added lot creates space for interactive activities including a Touch-a-Truck experience hosted by the Emmaus fire and police departments and a free tie-dye station sponsored by Active Learning Centers. Guests are asked to bring their own shirts for the tie-dye station.
The festival draws more than 50 vendors along with food trucks and beverage vendors, according to the chamber’s festival page, which places Food Truck Alley between Buss Paints and Kappe Associates.
The day opens with a free outdoor mat Pilates class in Triangle Park led by Alchemize Pilates from 11 to 11:30 a.m.; the chamber’s page asks participants to bring a mat and RSVP. A character meet-and-greet with Moana and Spider-Man follows at noon in the park, and a free screening of “The Goonies” runs from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the Emmaus Theatre, sponsored by Edward Jones, Jeff McElhaney, Ambler Savings Bank, and First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union.
The chamber’s page also lists Yergfest at Yergey Brewing from noon to 11 p.m., with Island Time playing from 3 to 5 p.m. and Dishonest Fiddlers from 7 to 10 p.m., and the Emmaus Historical Society museum open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Scarecrow Trail returns, sponsored by United Federal Credit Union. Participants collect one of 10 puzzle pieces at downtown stops to fill a trail passport; completed passports enter a raffle for $50 in gift cards to local businesses. Passports can be downloaded starting Sept. 11 from the chamber’s festival page.
“The Farewell to Summer Festival is more than an event; it’s a celebration of community,” said Hayden Rinde, manager of the Emmaus Main Street Partners. “Year after year, it brings together neighbors and welcomes new visitors to town, shines a spotlight on local businesses, and creates lasting memories in the heart of the Emmaus Borough.”
The 2025 festival ran Sept. 20 at Triangle Park, 342 Main St., according to the chamber’s event listing.
